Big :marseychud: (big chud) has a certified classic for you coming straight from the :marseyblowkiss: heart :marseyhearts:

Hatsukoi Zombie is a manga about a guy who gains the ability to see the manifestations of men's first loves as ghosts that float about them. He soon after meets his childhood friend who his first love zombie, as they are called, is modeled after and it turns out this guy who he thought was a girl when they were kids is a guy.

Shenanigans ensue

:marseyr#apscallion:

but wait its not gay because it turns out the guy is a girl who was pretending to be a guy who was pretending to be a girl when he was 5 but she was actually a girl the whole time.

you should all read this manga right now its easy enough to find on translation aggregate sites (mangakakalot etc) and I just reread it and it is still a good read

That's actually a really interesting concept. I imagine the anime totally flounders it tho, it's basically a rule

Yeah, unless there's several seasons it wouldn't really work. There's too much plot for it to be a 12 episode anime.

tbh even managas piss away the premise a lot too, end up turning into ecchi harem shit

yes, but this one does it well. it stays focused on mc, main waifu, main waifu's ghost, and a secondary waifu meant to stir up the plot plus its never put in such a way that mc can choose both women its one or the other.
