Labor is the sole source of value (except maybe natural resources aka economic land)

Not quite, It's that you can measure the price of a commodity based on the industry average amount of labor hours that goes into its production.

Fun fact: marxists accept supply and demand too. Read Kapital.

>someone becomes a meme, turns into an influencer worth millions

>someone invents a silly game like flappy bird, makes millions

You think value correlates with labor hours? :marseyxd: Harry Potter took a few thousand hours to write. The IP's worth 43 billion.

Yeah the only things Marx didn't know were marginalism, Keynesian macroeconomics, the Solow–Swan model, and behavioral economics

Post-Marxian economic "theory" is heresy, HERESY, I say, for Marx is the final word in all economics! There is not God but Materialism, and Marx is its messenger! :marseybinladen:

Yes, I'm familiar with the Marxist cope that if labor doesn't seem to correspond with value, you toss in a bunch of "on average" or "socially necessary labor time" until the numbers work out. And even then, all that's been proven is that it is consistent with marginal theory of value while being less descriptive, so why not just use marginal theory of value?

Scarcity compared to Demand determines what someone is willing to pay for something, which is what determines value.

If LTV is true, explain why my shit is worthless when it takes labor and time to make?

The value of an object is determined by the labor used to produce it
