The worst part of Hunter x Hunter is that the story is like 1/3rd done

There's so many mysteries and undiscovered locations in hxh. In the recent chapters it's revealed that the entire world as they know it is just some small continents inside a giant lake. The the rest of the world is basically JUST land filled with insane and crazy dangerous mythical creatures. For reference every time they even try to land and explore more inward almost everyone on the exploration teams dies. Now the current arc is glowy eyes boy on a gigantic humungous preposterous large cruise ship with a social caste system as several princess factions try to assassinate each other for the throne in basically hxh game of thrones. Bro Gon hasn't done anything since the ant arc. I don't even think hxh has a story. Almost none of the arcs connect at all. It almost feels like we're still in pre-timeskip one piece where the characters are just going to random islands.

We're like 350 chapters in and still have no idea how Nen powers work. How do people make them??? We don't know shit about the spiders, where the frick is Hisoka, and on top of this even the main continents are like 80% unexplored. Half the show was the ant arc which took place in the middle of fricking no where.

If one piece ends he should just give hxh to Oda.

I think it's a good thing that the story is branching away from the generic hero party against the world, aka shounen. Feels like one of those DnD world, expanding but not connected elements / storylines.

The problem is: It should be a collaborative work between several mangakas with similar vision, not from one dying Japanese bugman. Yuyu hakusho is a single self-contained story, HxH is not.

We don't even know jack about Gyro (remember that plotline?).
