Less anime this week as I've been reading through some classic sword and planet novels that have taken most of the free time I'd normally waste on weebshit
Watched Metal Skin Panic Maddox. Solid kino.
Watched volume 2 of Star Wars Visions. It's hit and miss, but overall it's neat to see. I preferred the anime ones though. As usual for Star Wars, episode 5 was the best.
Finished Gangsta. It was a fun time.
Watched Starship Troopers (the OVA). Also kino. I really like their interpretation of the mobile suits.
Tales of Wedding Rings continues to be utter trash, the MC is absolutely pathetic. Could've been decent ecchi if they hadn't been Japanese about relationships
I think season 2 of Hikari no Ou should've been a movie, and if the story finishes up like it's looking to, definitely should've been. Gorgeous filler artwork though.

I'm watching Sengoku Youku and it's been mostly fine. But then last episode they went full manga. Badly timed humor, flashbacks during combat, MCs sparing bad guys that deserve to die, crying about muh strength' and muh weakness'. I keep watching these manga adaptions hoping one will deviate from the norm but they never do. Terribly disappointing.

How dare you put Mr. Braun in anything less than S tier. Also Faris is definitely S tier. I suppose the anime perhaps doesn't show how great Faris is, but YOU'VE READ THE VN HOW COULD YOU HATE FARIS? Also the gnome woman sucks, but she is good because she sucks so I suppose I'll accept that one. Personally, I would put 80% of the main characters into S tier and you should as well.

This. Most anime fans are too r-slurred to get steins;gate and I am completely serious in saying this. I am literally becoming a physicist because of that show and while I do agree it was slow for the beginning part, it set up the fast-paced time travel segment in a way that made you actually care for the characters. In fact, Hououin Kyouma is genuinely one of the greatest characters of all time in all media and just seeing his antics kept me invested in the show. I think for most people, I would probably stop talking to them if they got bored of steins gate or didn't like Okabe.

I think s;g 0 is underrated in the sense that people hate it more than they should, but it still does have major issues as a show. The pacing in particular is just complete nonsense and makes you wonder what the frick was going through their heads as they wrote it. The original s;g on the other hand is really fun, I love it even though it's way too goofy for me to take seriously.

If you want to wait for the whole thing, it'll be done in like 4 months, as its 25 episodes this season and we are on episode 8 or so. The first part does skip things that it has to do in the second season which is a bit iffy on pacing but it remains one of the best Isekai.

I like the way they paced it tbh, focusing the first season on one character instead of trying to do multiple plotlines, then picking them up in the second season to give them time to breathe.
The only issue is with the time since S1, I'd forgotten a lot of the chronology so I was struggling to remember what was happening in S1 concurrently with the story in S2.
