I've seen that many describe this series as libertarian bait, which is certainly defendable, but the show was wiped off of Hulu or wherever I'd watched a few episodes of it due to inappropriate content. It was appropriate enough to be serialized and animated, though? Is this a lack of oversight, a cultural clash, or just too high of a dose of weeb juice in one show for !burgers?
Btw when are we going to NOT see so many pink haired anime girls? They're the new blondes I swear
(Yes I know this happened a while ago, but I think this series was actually poignant.) Anyone else catch this one while it was available?

Honestly a lot of anime is so libertarian coded it's completely indefensible, even Azumanga was toeing the line.
Frick em. Cancel all the libertarian bullshit and give me another Tatami Galaxy spinoff

It shocks me to see what's still publicly available to children in manga or comic format a little more than anime. I'm likely desensitized, although that's not to say the weird kid stuff doesn't get to me. But the above show was about cycles of violence, broken people... in many ways it was beautifully written to show the depravity in society and I'm big into that genre

They don't have to use kids for it, like what's that one trauma porn one? Goodnight punpun or w/e, at least they weren't kids.

True, the way they're drawn they'll look young even if canonically a character is of-age

Is been a while since I've seen Azumanga. What was so libertarian about it?

Locker room scenes, the girls talking about their breasts and even if you try to justify it as a coming of age anime for foids they put in a libertarian teacher as a running gag to show you the girls are actually being sexualized.

It depends on what you like tbqh. It is just that it does not excel at any of the genres it tackles and seems to make it up for being coom bait for pedos
For the Yandere pink haired trope there is Mirai Nikki and Elfen Lied
For the libertarian bait I think there are hundreds of anime and more to come
For the gore, in the anime (I have not read the manga) it is boring
Same with psychological and the moe genre where cute kwute kawaii characters do violent heinous things
Overall I do not think it excels in any aspect other than being so absurd it is funny, but if you have around 7 hours to waste I guess it is an ok watch

It was meh. I watched it thinking it would have been like other psychological anime but it was just the classic pink-haired yandere anime trope (e.g. Mirai Nikki, Elfen Lied). It was mediocre in the gore department, it was also mediocre as a psychological anime , and tried too hard in other departments. I sort of liked it though because of how absurd it was I laughed throughout the entire time that I watched it (so bad it was funny)
Also what's stopping you from torrenting or streaming it lol

I liked the absurdity, too. Ive decided to go back and read the manga later instead of streaming it. I'm interested in the mangaka's style

I don't watch anime because I don't like it, but the front and center nature of libertarian shit guarantees that I'd never tolerate it anyway.
I don't mind the Japanese but why the frick are they like this?
