Still watching Dirty Pair. It's really good, much better than I expected. It never loses its momentum, it's probably one of the best episodic animes I've ever seen. Each setup is unique so the formula doesn't get boring, some of the episodes are surprisingly dark.

I really like the 80s anime scifi aesthetic and this show hits the nail on the head in that regard. It's less fan servicey than most moeshit tbh.
It's just fun sci fi about mercenaries and it doesn't take itself seriously. Ratings are kind of meaningless to me because I have bad taste

It's a really well made anime especially given it came out in 83. Must have had a monster budget. They really do a fantastic job of coming up with scenarios for every episode, it doesn't end up feeling stale like lots of episodic animes do.
The faults it has are just inherent to the genre, the characters never grow because they're not meant to.
But it's definitely not something more normoid anime watchers would like imo
