Furthermore, cuckholding is in fact the same as netorare with both sharing the same awful traits, by their definitions, excecutions, and how the term N.T.R. stands for more than just the act of cheating itself. This is the reason why most pornographic sites present both as separate categories, yet ones that are usually seen together. The word "netorare" is a Japanese expression created from the combination of the characters 寝取られ, which when combined can be read in the form of 寝(ne), as in 寝取られ which means "sleep" or in this case, "the lover's sleeping with someone (cheating)", and 取られ(torare) is a noun coming from 取られる(torareru), "have something stolen/robbed". The N.T.R. genre itself is not just defined by the act of infidelity as it is with cheating, but by the pain, the humiliation, the unfairness and the degradation being done upon the person that loses their partner, or has them stolen/taken from them (either by being abandoned, the use of manipulation, or at times r*pe) in the process, as well the ruination of relationships. Essentially all netorare must involve some form of cheating, but not all cheating will fall under the category of netorare. Cuckholding is however is the most emblematic aspect of the netorare genre due to the previously mentioned elements, and how it perfectly represents its content.

Cuckholding and N.T.R. are also not the same thing as "open relationships" either. Even though I disapprove of open relationships for many reasons (not the least of which being how easily they can degrade into excuses for cheating, and are marked by a lack of real commitment to one's "lover") they should not be mistaken as being on the same category as cuckholding (even though open relationships can easily lead to infidelity, or as a way to attempt justifying forms of N.T.R. in relationships). For one, Netorare/Cuckholding is NOT inherently consensual, or fair to both parties by the very definition. On the off chance cucking does become "consensual" it is always through some form of coercion, or manipulation (an excuse for which can be the idea that one is having an "open relationship" hence why its supposedly ok for someone to have s*x with another person without even talking to one's partner about it before hand) for as mentioned previously the very idea behind the acts of cucking/N.T.R. are rooted adultery, unfaithfulness, humiliation, deceit, degradation, having one's lover be "stolen away" from them, or being in some way, shape, or form lead into staying with someone that isn't loyal, and possibly also raising someone else's children because of a mixture of these componets.

As for this or netorase being an acceptable fetish between consenting couples, think about what said "fantasy" entails, and what those that practice it are craving for. The wishfulfiment here is a desire to cheat on your significant other, or to get off sexually on the idea of pretending to do so. A twisted yerning to make them watch you be unfaithful to them, or for them to do that to you. To watch someone you are supposedly in love with have s*x with another person that isn't you, or for you to have s*x with someone else that isn't them. For them to enjoy s*x with other people more than with you, or for you to make your partner feel inferior by experiencing more pleasure with someone else other than them. For either of you to pretend, or be legitimately unfaithful to the eachother. For at least one of you to be downgraded, insulted, mocked, and berated emotionally along with sexually. All for an unhinged sense of supposed "thrill" that doing the wrong or "naughty" thing, and being dirty apparently gives. Does that sound like a healthy relationship, or one that people should wish to have? I suggest that anyone that believes that to be the case to reflect further on themselves, and just what this form of "fantasy" truly says about them, and the things they find to be appealing.
