I had an idea of a shounen that kind of like a mecha fairy tale. People of certain dispositions and personality are connected to timeless archtypes and legendary creatures and figures. They get access to the powers and abilities of these beings and undergo a physical transformation and melding with these beings where they struggle against the primordial urges and persona intrinsic to them. ie. A chud gains the powers of being Haephastus and internalised all of mythical Haephastus' obsessions and passions are trying to subsume him. More power is gained by further surrendering to the greater mindless will. Instead of being in robots your own body is transformed and piloted by ancient primordial instinct bound by archetypal concepts. Rival mythical gods and creatures will also seek eachother to re-enact their myths (Lugh will ALWAYS seek out Crom Cruach and Nuada will ALWAYS seek out Balor since that is what their cyclical journey is bound to, thus the people afflicted by these powers will always struggle and seek eachother out almost automatically)

It's like if all the things people associate with certain archtypes is applied literally to a person. Imagine if a character literally becomes "The Sacrificial Lamb" concept and is driven crazy by the need to sacrifice himself for others in any manner that the greater zeitgeist believes what a "Sacrifical Lamb" IS.

I'm thinking of other timeless concepts that people used to define themselves and sense of person. What happens if someone literally becomes "The Hunt" or "The Initiation to Manhood", "A Call To Arms" or even "The Tragedy" it sounds metal asf.
