I liked it up to the magic exam arc. So far it was a fun travel show centered around a tight core crew. But then a fricking billion characters are introduced and you're forced to watch 8+ episodes of the author explaining the world's magic system. I really didn't care for it afterwards.

I didn't mind the side characters, but the trope of "two characters halting a fight just to exchange quips and blurt out exposition" is one of my biggest gripes with the show as well. It didn't bother me that much tho
