This comic pops up from time to time causing shock and despair to unsuspecting DBZ fans who just can't believe their favourite mangaka would make something like this 
(but shouldn't be all that surprising to people who pay attention to DB/DBZ).

The vast, vast, VAST majority of modern Dragonball fans have never read or watched ANY official Dragonball media. All of their knowledge comes from DBZ Abridged, Death Battle/VS videos, and "abc VS xyz WITHOUT FILLER" videos.
They take everything said about Dragonball as fact and have created headcanons about shit that is never once said or shown within the manga, anime, or even movies. You could tell them "Yamcha has toonforce because his defeat was supposed to be comedic" and they'd believe you 100%.
