I feel like Rei isn't a good pick as the fool. She isn't really ignorant at all. Maybe she'd be better as Death, with Kaworu as the devil.

I think the fool fits Rei better since she's extremely innocent, and in tarrot it's all about the journey of the fool towards enlightenment. Kinda how Rei is re-born over and over.

I mean, even if she knew what was going on she basically had no agency over anything. All she did was follow what Gendo told her as he was the only person she actually cared about.
