Seriously, China isn't ready yet. They just figured out how to not make killer building 10-15 years ago. Until 2021 loads of Chinese people were still dying whenever a tunnel flooded during rainy season.
The Chinese still haven't reached the required general quality standards to be considered a world leader ready to take over for the US. Sure they have been doing great at the cutting edge stuff, and are doing alright at the raising the floor bit too, but as for the quality of product the average Chinese is getting, they are still too far behind the developed world to be trying to take over right now.
If China took over today at its current levels, global diplomacy, infrastructure, and business standards would go down not up.
Maybe 10-20 more years from now they would be ready, but they aren't done cooking yet for control and influence at that scale.
Honestly, looking at how fast the Chinese GDP PPP per capita levels are rising, they will definitely be ready in another 25 years. Just not yet.

truthnuke. All societies started out as save face societies. What the East has too admit at some point is that the west got further because they evolved past/ developed something better than a save face society structure.
The cultural value gap between the East ans the West is the same as the gap between capitalism and feudalism. Or monarchy and democracy. At some point far enough up, it will hold you down and force you too either remain stuck in place or only give lip service too the "ideal" such as how the UK monarchy has no legal powers and the Chinese already only pay lip service too communism.
