Trust me, it has nothing to do with Gilfoyle or Erlich's comments, because that stuff was funny.
No, it's the systemic racism that this show has perpetuated that is now in full throttle against Asian men.
Dinesh: weak and socially r-slurred beyond just being a tech geek, more like a classist butthole. Sucks with women, and women openly make fun of his looks. He's only competent in coding, god forbid he have any talents outside of coding.
Jian Yang: weak and r-slurred. Him being a sexual person isn't even a remote possibility. He can only create knockoffs of technology. In fact, all of his accomplishments are the sole work of him leeching off of his white colleagues.
Yao: only knows how to steal when it comes to business, but is incompetent in every other aspect. He cannot continue business on his own, he's only able to partner to a more dominant white person.
I've been a huge Mike Judge film since King of the Hill. However, this show is reaching a low in how offensive it is, and it has nothing to do with the racist jokes. If this show wanted to bill itself as a racist show, then fine, but it pisses me off ten times more that this show tries to make a commentary on racism while ignoring and perpetuating the true racism in play.
As a proud Asian American male, this is what Mike Judge is really telling me: don't try to be a leader because only white people understand it, not you. Oh and they can do your job on top of that too better than you, they just don't have time to do it.
Frick you Mike Judge. Seriously, frick you.
