So we take money from American citizens via taxes, ship them over seas to a country that hates us and is governed by terrorist fundamentalist Muslims, and cross our fingers and hope the money/resources makes it to poor people?

Why does the responsibility always lay at the feet of the American taxpayer? Why doesn't Europe send them some money? Or maybe India (superpower 2025)? Or maybe the Afghanistan people themselves? If they'd been willing to fight for their country instead of rolling over for the Taliban maybe they wouldn't be in this position.

America: If you get involved in another country's affairs you're an evil imperialist empire.
