Why does everyone insist that my views are based on "looking at it as an American"? It's pretty insulting. I've been covering global internet regulations for years and bad laws and bad application of laws is not a moral relevancy issue. What's bad is bad.

Given the language that is in the preamble of the decision — which goes on at length about defeating censorship and freedom of expression — The court should not be outlawing VPNs, which are used for far more than merely accessing Twitter.

They should be consistent in criminalising the act of providing access to Twitter in a "subterfuge" manner, but VPNs themselves are a general use technology, built in to / inseparable from iOS & android.
