In 2006, the National Director of the ADL, Abraham Foxman, gave a speech, where he identified the players threatening freedom of religion in America, "… They include Focus on the Family, Alliance Defense Fund, The American Family Association and the Family Research Council."

In that speech, he named one of the co-founders of the Heritage Foundation, Paul Weyrich, as the architect of this Christian coalition, seeking to turn America into a Christian theocracy.

He specified then, 18 years ago, how the Christian theocrats threatened religious freedom in America, & what their strategic issues would be: "… judicial nominations, same-s*x marriage, and faith-based issues".

"There is an open arrogance. The arrogance comes when you believe you have the exclusive truth. And it comes if you believe God has commissioned you to change this country."
