Trying to decide if I should get the AppleCare+ benefit that covers theft for a new iPhone - I am traveling to some places soon where it will be a huge pain in the butt to get a police report if my phone gets stolen, and I do like that they don't seem to ask for police reports when you make a claim.

+1 I never get protection plans on large appliances but I always get protection plans on mobile appliances

I'm the kind of person that gets a specific protection plan on large appliances that extends well outside the expected bathtub curve. I can't say those are really worth it, though, since the last large appliance failure I dealt with was a fridge/freezer two decades in service 😅
