Reddit adopted a sitewide rule against hate speech 4.5 years ago, before the elections, and booted /r/the_donald then, after it became moribund due to running afoul of other, already extant sitewide rules.
I don't think they'll change policy now.

Reddit never enforced SWR1 against conservative political subreddits without six months worth of validated reports.

So the policy change didn't stop hate groups, just stopped them from killing the host

Reddit can expect that, at some point, Trump / the GOP or one of their official or unofficial proxies will come calling to enact vengeance for kicking /r/the_donald off the platform.
That might be thru i.e. HB20; it might be thru direct vengeance.
