The premise of this scenario was looking to a future where we had a way to circumvent i.e. state level censorship or surveillance, distribute mp3s, etc

One of the things my group noticed is that this was the same criteria that would allow a worm to brick all those devices, or DDoS someone

And now, like, What If there was an app that had code in it that polled a Chinese UCHISP's servers every 30 seconds and then China "accidentally" changed their DNS to point that server name at an airspace control system, right

And the system controlling airspace over Maryland happened to go down on Jan 20 2025 because five million kids all got hijacked into DDoSing the nation's air traffic control systems
