7k subscribers.The core, most prolific participants there (4 accounts) were also vehemently transphobic

the core also included the fifth most prolific commenter in the subreddit, /u/GCMadamXX
There was significant crossover participation from /r/gendercritical, and the subreddit was often used to platform transphobia.
It was banned in 2020 but restored after they cut loose one transphobic operator

There's a real detransition subreddit, /r/actual_detrans. It was created as a non-transphobic alternative to "the largest".
It currently has 10k subscribers.

We know that a significant amount of people who detransition, do so under duress, to escape an axis of persecution. But we don't know exactly what fraction, because repeated, unaddressed privacy violations have destroyed faith in institutions, making detransitioners refuse participation in studies

Also, when I say above, "~20 distinct, identifiable repeat participants", I'm excluding the accounts there that only posted / commented in the GenderCritical ecosystem subreddits, and the accounts that cross-pollinated from i.e. /r/ClownWorld — /pol/ style violent transphobes.
