Earlier I pointed out that attempting to abolish Birthright Citizenship on the basis of "… subject to the jurisdiction" / "immediate loyalty" etc would lead to revoking citizenship of Catholics. Also, that Nazi Germany persecuted Catholics, because Führer Über Alles.

It is closer than most think.
