In 2014 I was invited on an "immigration study tour" by the German government and ended up yelling at nearly everyone I met there about the obvious racism they were pretending didn't exist and naturally never got invited back. I was right though

Almost every pundit in Germany said that Germany's conservatives would never work with the far-right AfD. And yet here we are. I remember when many of us warned about Farage getting a standing ovation in Berlin as the AfD's honoured guest. And yet here we are. I just wish more people had listened.
