This is why I don't socialize with northies. R-slurs start blabbering in Hindi as if every other Indian can understand it or even cares to.

I just refuse to speak to them in hindi and pretend to not understand any hindi when they speak to me all the while speaking in fluent hyderabadi with my friends.

Same. I had to learn it in school so I can understand a little, but never really cared to pay attention beyond what was required to pass the class.
It's so darn unprofessional to speak anything other than English in an office setting.
