The woman claimed that she approached the occultist in order to seek a cure for her sick son in January this year. The occultist gave her a mantra and asked her to follow a ritual process, the woman said. However, her son died 15 days later of an unspecified illness.
According to reports, after her son died unexpectedly, the woman returned to the temple, where the occultist resides and asked him to provide an explanation for her son's untimely death.
While confronting the occultist, the woman accused him of attempting to r*pe her in a dream and claimed she was 'saved by her deceased son'.
Later, the woman approached the police saying that the occultist had been appearing in her dreams and repeatedly raping her since then. After receiving a written complaint from the alleged victim, the police were forced to summon the occultist, who was later released due to lack of evidence.
“The woman seemed prima facie to be mentally unsound. Police officials contacted her relatives and requested that she be admitted to a mental institution for treatment,” said Lalit Narayan, Deputy Superintendent of Police in Aurangabad.
