My wife is a !coonass so yes. Gulf coast has a lot of white Catholics from Lousiana to mobile/pensacola
Once you get above I-10 is where you get all the Baptist
I grew up Dixie Baptist. Pretty sure my Bible teach in middle school turned out to be a p-do but they booted him without any explanation so I am pretty indifferent to religion

You're correct, there aren't a lot of Catholics in the South. My family is originally from the Midwest but we ended up here due to my dad being in the military.
