There is only one winning move. Working out and eating healthy.

You are a biological machine pretending to be a logical machine.

You are not a computer.

Your body and mind does things based on chemicals flowing through the brain and hormones that determine what things interest you and hold your focus and how long you can maintain it.

You need to exercise and eat well to maximize the probability of getting the right hormonal balance inside you to chad maxx yourself.

Gain confidence with exercise/ healthy diet.

Gain strength with exercise/ healthy diet.

Gain clarity and vision with exercise/ good diet.

That is the final truth.

All extremely good advice.

Wrong.

The final truth, at least in regards how to live a meaningful fulfilling life, is that you need to learn how to suffer properly. If you don't get that sorted you're going to live at best a distracted unfulfilling life, at worse, a miserable one.

Suffering is a part of life. Obviously, we should avoid anything that causes long-term suffering: venereal disease, third degree burns, dating anyone who takes politics seriously, that sort of thing.

But so many of us will do anything we can to avoid even short-term suffering, and we now have the technology to do so. Computer games, social media, television, etc. All forms of entertainment heroin that we can turn to the moment we feel any mild suffering, like boredom or anxiety. Many of us will waste massive chunks of our lives on these largely worthless pursuits, rather than endure the mild discomforts that stand between us and the lives we'd prefer to live.

I agree. I hope to one day get there. For now all I do is improve but the bar was so low I am still average at best.
