Stanley: Where's a person go to the bathroom around here?
Magnet: Pick a hole, any hole.
— Holes (2003)
arr-drama dot net has a tumultuous relationship with holes of all sorts: sometimes Carp ravages your holes arbitrarily, sometimes we debate whether gussy or bussy is the better hole. Today we bring you a welcome relief from those petty concerns: you can now be notified when people put things in your holes! Holes are now also more readily available for purchase.
This update adds a "Follow" button to the top of every hole, right above the "Block" button. If you click it, you will receive post notifications for new posts in that hole. You can, of course, later unfollow the hole whenever you please.
Additionally, holes cost 50 000 DC now and anyone can make one if you have the DC. However, they are deleted after 2 weeks of not getting new posts EDIT: One (1) week of not getting new posts. Two weeks went nowhere.
EDIT 22:20Z: /h/neoliberal has been purged for inactivity. Carp considered this very important to announce and was going to shit up your feed with another changelog. You're welcome for getting an edit instead.

1#. im not ever going to have 50k dc
2#. requiring such amounts of money is just going to make this site revolve around the 8 or so powerposters it already does.
3#. frick you

Yea it’s kinda annoying that every feature of this site seems to tend towards jerking off the power users which is completely unnecessary because they are fully capable of doing that themselves without hilighting it

Srs posting for a second I saw a few people in today's Carp post saying that this or that feature would make the newcomers just leave the site
What they don't realize is the that cabal of powerusers, imho, does much more to push people away, because how are you ever gonna compete with the powerusers circlejerk? It feels especially off when powerusers make posts asking other powerusers/jannies for their opinion because it sounds like the average user just doesn't matter for shit here. Doesn't help that usually the most upsoren comments under many threads are the powerusers circlejerk ones which aren't even funny in the slightest unless you are terminally online enough to understand this place's lore
Now, personally I think that leaving the site because of that is pathetic. Just post good enough shit to eventually be recognized and you'll become a poweruser too if you really care that much. But I also understand that lots of people here are severely mentally impaired and this whole circlejerk situation might just drive them off. Particularly when you think of how easy it is for the average poweruser to farm DC vs how hard it is for the average shithead using this site. Again, personally I don't care and even though I am a (sort of ) newstrag here I still understand that I am "new" here so it's normal I have to hustle if I want some recognizion and especially if I want to make lots of DCs. But I don't believe the average newstrag would understand this
Maybe I'm just r-slurred though and this whole wall of text was a huge waste of time

Yep nothing better than posting good drama and some poweruser posts the exact same thing an hour later but has 100 pins to blow, or every top comment is just a race to who can put some meta shit first. I understand the "hustle", I managed to almost crack top 100 truescore starting off and still am a literally who. But I can definitely see how a new user or lurker would be like frick this place, most the time like 2 people see anything I write, the awards cost more than a normal person could reasonably afford, and everyone seems more interested in obscure meta drama
but enough serious posting, dude bussy lmao

If it makes you feel better about yourself, although you are just another filthy generic user, I always admired your dedication and skills to the art of semi-doxxing people posted here

I seem to recall at least one post where no one shared user infos and you still managed to pull their OF or something, probably just google image search or something or probably I am just incredibly r-slurred and I imagined all of this in a fit of raging schizophrenia, either way followed you back king

You are like a failed clown who does children birthday parties because children are the only ones r-slurred enough to be impressed by them, respect
