Good job, people can’t pin their posts anymore, and I can’t highlight underviewed quality content from randos - now the only things that will rise to the top are posts with the most visibility - i.e. people with the most followers who post good things. No one is browsing by new all the time.

That's literally the only way I browse. I check "hot" for a second when I first login to see if something happened overnight, and then ignore all the popular buttholes and sort by new. If you don't deserve me at your worst, you don't deserve me at your best.

They are incapable of curating their own content in a manner that distinguishes good post. They need, and want, the gentle guidance by a select few people to make the content they want to see easily accessable. Removing pinning is not just an infringement of the rights of the rdrama elite, but also an attack on the regular user by decreasing their enjoyment of the site tremendously.

Thanks king, I like this experiment. Another idea to try is to disable pinning your own threads, this should weed out the worst poweruser garbage on the frontpage. Alternatively, make unpin awards much cheaper so garbage like furryporn is easily disposed.
