Why does it look like somebody built a half assed fence around some desolate wasteland that was purchased for cheap then imported some exotic animals to be on display in that place.
In many habitats yes. They exist still for the carnivores but many have drop down instead of net based cages. This design first showed up for elephant enclosures as few nets or fences can hold elephants in anyway
