It is painfully obvious that no one dies so they sell more shit. If a character shows up once and dies for good, how will you sell toys of them to children and failed men?

They just bring them back either with a necromancer, time travel, or a parallel universe.

That's just "no one dies", but instead of heroes having a self-imposed rule about killing, the writers simply decide to sacrifice any sense of stakes.
