Jurassic Park is a great book and its film adaptation a masterpiece of cinema. But it's annoying that Chrichton swapped the name Velociraptor and Deinonychus.

Nowadays, everyone thinks the former was a 3.5 metre long killing machine, when in reality it was the size of a dog.

RIGHT? Velociraptor was basically a big eagle. They're still cool af but not as scary.

I think it’s a trout and the environment looks like either Idaho or Montana tbh. You see rivers like that there.

Edit: I actually think it’s a steelhead sorry.

Therizinosaurus would have tasted pretty good since it was almost 100% an herbivore. Since it was also a therapod and thus more closely related to birds I bet it tasted like turkey. :marseyturkey:

Larger dinos like this one likely weren't feathered to prevent overheating.

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

They had them in some locations on the body. https://www.britannica.com/animal/therizinosaur

![](/images/16683527556185741.webp)

Edit: Also large therapods in colder climates almost certainly had more feathers than their cousins. Similar to mammoths vs elephants.

OTOH when you're eating a rotisserie chicken from costco, you're literally eating a dinosaur.

That's extremely cool and it makes up for the lame feather thing.

Feathers aren't lame!!! :marseyrage: It's like seeing a plucked bird and thinking it's cooler than the same bird with feathers. :marseykiwi:

Women should not have the right to choose who to mate and breed with. That decision should be made for them by rational men of intelligence. If women continue to have rights, they will only hinder the advancement of the human race by breeding with degenerate men and creating stupid, degenerate offspring. This will cause humanity to become even more depraved with each generation. Women have more power in human society than they deserve, all because of s*x. There is no creature more evil and depraved than the human female.
