Here are some key points that I can think of. All of these should get the main redditor demographics angry.

  • "I know that I can do both, but going to a good college would be really (this will make poors and loancels seethe) expensive and cut into the principle"

  • "My passion is (gender studies or other meme degrees that don't make much money or criminology and fighting crime and whatnot) and I know it pays poorly, but I'll be doing what I love plus I have my investments"

  • "College is a big time commitment that would take away from my trading time and crypto stuff"

    • If a meme degree is selected then maybe say that the degree will be easy but the hard part will be attending parties and getting connections

Nah, too many of them have stupid degrees to get upset by this, and "underwater basket weaving" bits are a huge red flag. Don't overcomplicate with this. Instead say something like "I have a few college administrators in my family who have told me that a career in academia is mine if I want it, and I'm currently thinking about becoming a history professor." i.e. "I have the connections and am deciding whether or not your dream job is worth my time".
