:marseyreading: ok so the way inheritence works is that each parent randomly passes down one of their chromosomes -- women have XX and men have XY, so when people are born the mother passes down one of her X and the father passes down either his X or his Y. But mary had jesus through mitosis so there was no Y chromosome
