If Mary was a virgin, then how does Catholicism explain how Jesus had brothers? Are you sure that the Church didn't add that due to some neurosis over marital s*x, which there was a lot of neurosis among the church and they couldn't imagine Mary being anything other than a virgin.
Can someone explain why Jesus wasn't married when he was a Jew and he would've been expected to be married and it would have caused contention to his family and been a scandal in his community back then if he wasn't? Paul would have mentioned Jesus was celibate if he was. Why didn't he? The evidence suggests that Jesus was married and the Church censored the Bible, potentially destroying Gospels to hide this fact.

Catholics believe Jesus's siblings were from Joseph's first marriage and that he and Mary never had s*x. Protestants believe Joseph and Mary had kids like normal because marrital s*x is fine.

Thanks for actually providing an answer on that question. Catholics viewed marital s*x worse than divorce?

No, but they mythologize virginity in a way that Protestants don't. Mary is special to them because she gave virgin birth and then stayed a virgin.

Catholics are deeply invested in that Madonna-Whore complex. It's kind of the basis of their whole religion.

Catholics insist she was always a virgin, to the point of effectively denying scripture

From your own source:
The "gnostic" gospels also make frequent reference to it, showing that it was a belief going back to c. 200-300 at the latest, and it's been a dogma for 1500+ years, please leave Our Mother alone.

It's a silly and unnecessary valorization of virginity because marrital s*x is not sinful and would not have made Mary any the lesser. This is why Prots believe Mary and Joseph had a normal, healthy marriage.

This is wrong and goes against the original Greek translation of Matthew which states they are clearly his brothers by blood. Also Matthew 1:20

Seems like an insignificant issue of translation at any rate and certainly irrelevant in terms of faith, less it turn into prot level biblical literalism
