The whole bit where they can make a 3d image that is Jesus like from the image on the shroud is pretty neat. I don't think anyone is questioning that the shroud is very old. I'm sure you could find very old light reactive chemicals that would make an image of varying darkness based on light exposure, but how would you project the light correctly with old tech. It's just so well done
