I went to private school so I wasn't really aware of how popular new age/wicca/whatever else was until I was a bit older.

None of them really ever learnt much other than a few basic things about wicca, they'd go round for a couple of years telling everyone how wiccan they were, and then grow out of it by 18yo or so. Typical teenage shit.

The difference is that 50% of millennials didn't grow up and are still doing the teenage phase thing.

I think millennials are in an awkward place right now. Their youth cultures (emo, hipsters etc) were all about being goofy, cutesy and playful and that's suddenly looking quite awkward on a bunch of adults in their 30s. Zoomer culture isn't really like that, it's much more serious and dignified and so that emphasises the difference further.

A lot of zoomer women come off as frigid/emotionless like they tried being the opposite.

It's basically the natural evolution to kids that thought they were a vampire or werewolf in elementary school.
Most kids do grow out of it, however I feel antibullying campaigns have increased delusions and it's harder to grow out of it now with the way everyone has to gayly prop up EVERYTHING that others do.

I know one who never grew up and still is wiccan in her mid 20s because she worships her narcissistic mother who claims to be wiccian. It's the cringiest shit seeing an adult behave like an r-slured teenager and treating burning incense as spiritual.
