The Episcopal Church split from the Church of England after the Revolution because US priests refused to swear allegiance to the King. But yeah, they're still a member Church of the Anglican Communion and I guess have pretty much the same services.

After looking into it, it appears that since the Revolution, they've continually lost the more conservative Anglicans who hated the shitlibbery and left to start their own Anglican churches. So now America's "main" version of the Church of England is full of atheists who identify as spiritual :marseyeyeroll:
