This stuff is nice when I'm in between Vicodin doses but don't get hooked on it. Withdrawals are absolutely nightmarish.

Disagree, one of the easiest withdrawals I've been through - cold turkey after taking 4-5g daily for a year. Then again, maybe my sensitivity for withdrawal is a bit different since I frick with GABAergics so often

You could be right! I'm lucky to not have had WDs with kratom but I read so many forums that say it's absolutely hellish.
