for Mardi Gras! king's cake is traditional for the celebration, it looks like this:
it has the three colors for Mardi Gras, which are green, gold and purple. there's a plastic baby in the cake and it's good luck if you find it.
traditionally, you eat pancakes the morning of Mardi Gras (to use up rich ingredients like butter). i will be making buttermilk pancakes with blackberries and green and gold kiwi slices on top - it's a lot of fun and you should try it if you like cooking!

I haven't gotten drunk since around Christmas. Feel great, getting back into shape, and want a drink more than almost anything. Might start taking the Naltrexone the doctor gave me soon.
