2 years of brain damage, over a year of cringy drawings.

I've spent two years genociding my neurons and nearly a year and half drawing bullshit. I'm still not sure if drawing is for me, but I'm too stubborn to quit, similarly how I can't leave this shithole even though I'm no longer Sylveonposting, or dramaposting for that matter. I'm bound to /h/eevee and decided to start drawing again, at least for this "special" occasion :marseyspecial:

Anyway, here's my second and probably last Marsey x Sylveon crossover. I wasted a long time making this shit and I'm posting it in the hole with zero growth, for only a handful of losers to see it. I'm quite good at inspiring myself :marseyembrace:

A bit of a background for this picture: On a few occasions I tried redrawing some of my old Marseys into :marseyfluffy: versions, but every time I was quickly reminded that I'm not Dramarama, I absolutely suck at drawing fur and fluff. Still, I tried applying what I learned into this piece by making Sylveon and Marsey looking a bit 'fluffier' than usual.

And that's it, I guess. You can all unfollow this account now :marseywave2:

This is cute. I love the background with the colorful patterned banner and this style with the vivid colors. I think your attempt at drawing fur looks decent. :marseyfluffy: I can't draw fur myself. :marseyangel:

If I were to change some things, I'd remove the second layer of shading from the balloons (everything else has one layer of shading), add color to Marsey's lineart, add thicker lines to the cake and Sylveon's tail, and add more perspective to the table (lines are larger as they get closer to the camera, lines to the right are less angled). :marseywholesome:

Thank you for the feedback, it's always appreciated!

I wanted to give the balloons an impression of shape and material. Also, there is two layers of shading on Sylveon and Marsey, though it's tiny and hard to see with the shitty colors and filter I used. In hindsight, I shouldn't had done that.

I tried thinner lines for the smaller or distant objects but my lineart is still inconsistent and shit. I spent way too much time on it for a picture that will only be posted in this shithole.

The table pattern was an afterthought, It was originally plain because I wanted to draw a cake and some utensils, but I couldn't pull it off. Then I felt it looked sparse and added that pattern without much care. I should've cropped it instead.

Planning out images is probably where I suck at the most. I often do everything on the fly and I'm too lazy to fix or redraw my mistakes. It's the main reason I'm always on the brink of giving up...

I should take the hint already :marseycontemplatesuicide:

The highlights? Or is it another layer I'm unable to see? :marseysquint: I sometimes see round objects shaded with an oval/circular highlight. I prefer it that way. What do you think? :marseyit:

At least you're able to finish drawings. It's better than nothing. :marseysleep:

I did try making an oval/circular highlight on the balloons, but I couldn't keep it consistent. they never turned out right because I'm bad at drawing circles.

https://i.rdrama.net/images/16848860418842518.webp I wanted to give a subtle transition between light and shade. I guess it's not really a second layer of shading.

I could've easily done that using an afterglow effect, I knew that, and I didn't do it because I'm an r-slur.

Anyway, I don't know what I'm doing, and I never finish my drawings either, I just hope by the time I say "frick it" I have something that could at least pass as art. I will never be a real artist
