I vaguely remember Marie Antoinette's "let them eat cake" was taken out of context and while super out of touch with the common person, she just wanted to feed them cake because they were hungry and because her foidbrain thought "I like cake. Cake is yummy. These poor people must have never eaten cake before. Let them eat cake. So they can find some happiness"
