I am kidding, I love you, but the quality of life for old people is terrible. I have grandparents in assisted living places and they are slowly deterioating because the conditions suck. And nursing homes are basically just hospitals with worse conditions and no young people. The only time its good to get old is if you have family to live with.

I will tell you this though, I will be darned if my parents ever have to live in an assisted living place or nursing home. Never, will they have to go through that treatment. I wish I could take in my grandparents, the conditions are sick. I have been to 2x psych wards and rhe conditions and staff there are nicer than the assisted living places. And this isn't a cheap place either its like 12k a month. Unrionically makes me cry.

From a financial point of view, people dropping dead of a heart attack at 65 is easily the most desirable outcome for a healthcare and retirement system. Save social security boomers, pound those cheeseburgers and ciggies.
