Indian belly fat is not due to Indian food. But it is due to genetics related to famines forced by two external colonizers. A small #Thread with all the scientific data.

Whenever you read ANYTHING about India's colonial history online remember:
Indians unironically believe shit like this
The plurality of internet-connected (nominal) English speakers are Indian
On sites like Reddit, it can be hard to tell who's a curry
This leads to stuff like the average Redditor unironically believing shit like that Winston Churchill caused the Bengal Famine

I genuinely wonder how many people's worldviews have been influenced on the internet by someone who is much younger and less knowledgeable than they themselves are.
Like, a 45 y/o would never knowingly take financial advice IRL from a 16 year old neurodivergent Belgian. But that kid is hopped up on Adderall, has an incredible memory making it seem like he knows what he's talking about, and can be incredibly verbose about the subject which fools lazy readers.

It's amazing what you can get people to believe if you have a okay track record and consistent history of knowing about a subject. The amount of total bullshit I have told people is crazy, and its because I talk with authority and so people just believe it, and if they did look it up its going to be right 95% of the time.

I too believe this and use it as an ace whenever someone tells me the Nazis were genociding so they had to be stopped at any cost.
Then they go into the "well ackshually" and I just casually reply darn bro, sounds like genocide apologia to me

As someone of Catalan heritage, Catalan people are Chinese. You might say disagree, but who are you to tell a Chinese person who is and isn't Chinese?

The average age of a redditor is 14. Remember basically half the people you talk to are children.

Not to like a [source citation] strag but I've seen web analytics of tons of sites and the average is never 14 unless it's a literal kids game. Even snapchat will skew mid 20s because most kids are in school and busy, tons of parents cap usage, etc.
This is an excuse to explain why Redditors are r-slurred. There's tons of teenagers but it's not the average redditor. But like all statistics the amount of people on the other half of the bell curve is way higher than most people think.
