>I've known many heavier people who constantly do things to make themselves "smaller", to the point that it almost becomes a personality disorder. They become very quiet, very agreeable, pull themselves in, are shy and passive, like they're compensating for simply having more of a physical presence, or because they're afraid of drawing attention to themselves because people have been cruel to them before. I'm sure this will be an unpopular opinion, but you're asking, so I will honestly tell you my problems with obesity (male or female, to be clear!):

- folks tryin to normalize being fat (I don't like this, we aren't supposed to be overweight, we aren't built it for it, hence all the medical issues we get from it)

- I don't like the way it looks (it grosses me out, I'm sorry, it does)

- I don't like the way it smells (cause some of y'all are too big to be able to clean properly)

I'm not saying everyone needs to be a 90s stick model & I'm also not saying that a few extra pounds suddenly makes you gross either. I am saying though, if you or your doctor needs to use the word "obese" to describe yourself ... things have gotten out of control.

I also think that people need to understand the difference between curvy & fat, as those are two very different things imo. Curvy is sexy, fat is not.

For the record, I'm a woman myself. I'm not trying to judge your life, or preach at you, I'm just giving you my honest opinion on my personal issues with obesity.

If you look at reconstructions of prehistoric women, they might not be obese but they surely were not victoria secret models. They had fat reserves and saggy boobs. So you could argue that's what's natural if you want to reduce us to animals

There's a difference between having fat reserves and being a bloated whale carcass.
