WHY do people hate fat women so much? - /r/PlusSize

for context, i work as a barista at starbucks, and over the course of my employment there i've noticed that customers are MUCH more nasty and rude to me than my prettier coworkers.

they also don't treat me like a human being?? like they'll stop and chat with my skinny coworkers but NEVER make an effort to make chit chat with me. for example, i've noticed that when i'm working the register, interactions usually go like this:

me: hi welcome in! how are you toda-

customer: grande hot black coffee.

me: alright anything else for you?

customer: no.

then they pay blah blah blah

me: okay you're all set! would you like your receipt-

and they fully just walk away from me when i'm in the middle of asking them a question????? hello????? i'm a fricking person???

like these buttholes barely even let me get a sentence in😭like they're so disgusted by me that they can't even make small talk. then they walk over to our handoff area and proceed to initiate conversation with a skinny, prettier barista. like alright ig ill go frick myself then darn!

but my question is WHY ARE THEY LIKE THIS like they dehumanize the frick out of me when i'm being nothing but perfectly pleasant.
