Somehow it was the whine to her voice that did it for me next to the dead eyed stare and each time she lazily opened her maw. This is why you do not take your children to “the happiest place on earth” (which is already a different kind of sinister when you consider the name contrasted to the cultlike mentality of that place and the wheezing blobs of fat and sweat clustered together) or at the least hype that place up to the extremes. Because then you get some abomination that's in the deleted scenes of Revelation, whose memories and associations with happiness peaks here.

i just don't understand where they get the money. you know they splurge on food whether or not they're on vacation, and on top of that these disney obsessed adults make their pilgrimage multiple times per year.

No children and credit card maxing, I'm guessing. But also I think there's something to be said for obsession. Disney love occupies the same headspace that zeal typically does, it seems. You could probably make the argument that it literally acts like a pilgrimage to these types.
