Our study suggests that there is indeed a weakly positive linear association between BMI and cup size among total hip arthroplasty patients. This effect was, however, more significant for height and weight, and there was no significant association between obese and non-obese groups with small versus large cup size implanted. We therefore conclude that clinically there is no significant relationship between obesity and acetabular bone size and that the “big bones” claim is indeed fallacious.

I thought everyone knew “big boned” was a euphemism? Did people really take this as a real excuse?

Used to work with a big fat c*nt who would hang onto every little bit of cope like this to deny the truth that he was a big fat c*nt.
He would eat entire sharing bags of Doritos at his desk, after lunch, as a snack.
He took the big-boned cope to such extremes that he'd say the reason he couldn't swim was because his bones were so dense.
I went biking with him once and he was really slow, but he was convinced the reason I was faster was because I had newer tyres.
Fat people are deluded.

I saw one time an obese person riding a bike. Chonker level.
Have you ever run your fork through a slab of pancakes and waddeled them? Same view.
Anyway the poor bike was screeching and squeaking like it was a mechanical drill drilling through a slab of industrial steel. Which was surprising cause the bike looked in good shape.

Before the general public was forced to play along with the delusions of others, they had to physically manifest their bulk in order for others to comprehend that they identify as big boned

Big bones are 100% a thing; a 6' man can have 6" wrists while another has 10" wrists, and obviously it's gonna affect BMI. It's just that the extent to which it affects weight is overstated by fatties.

Yup. Being big-boned just means I do best at the upper half of the "normal" BMI range, rather than the lower half. It doesn't mean that being at the top of the "overweight" range is somehow magically ok.
