I stopped and thought I know this shit head kid didn't just fat shame me.

I've seen these kids before so I thought of finding out who their parents were and letting them know.

Losing weight would probably be easier

Or lecturing the kid on the impact of his words.

I'm sure the kids would be very receptive to that and think you're even more pathetic

But I did none of that. Instead i stood their for a bit and was instally defeated.

I reacted the exact same way I react when I step on the scale at the doctor's office

Most fatphobic taunts are so old and overused now but big back haunts me for some reason.

It's bc you've been fat so long that you've heard all the other insults, but this one is new

It does seem to me though that with younger kids (16 and under) it is all of a sudden "cool" again to make comments on weight when it had seemed for the last half a decade or so we were moving away from that.

We're living in the age of Ozempic , where people are no longer pretending being fat & being !thin are equal. It's a shame kids are becoming more health conscious as a result
