I visited the US for the first time since the pandemic this year, met a bunch of old friends, and I swear like half of them are now glorified meth heads
Even in Germland, I will occasionally meet people who will swear up and down that "they need the meds," while in the same breath listing a laundry list of mental conditions and are hopelessly addicted to smoking weed
I would bet anything that if they stopped overconsuming so many different drugs, 90% of their problems would vanish after a couple months.
For some reason, I thought that the US kinda chilled out with overprescribing shit (opioid crisis and whatnot, I read that doctors got more careful with these powerful prescriptions), but it seems to have gotten worse from my anecdotal experience

Psychiatrists (the majority) who let their patients get away with this are such kitties, like doctors who tell patients they can still drink because you can't stop them. I've known a few psychs I've respected because they did drug tests and wouldn't treat people who were smoking weed, and were very open that they had no moral or medical issues against weed overall, but needed a clean slate.
They were also regularly taking new patients off ADHD meds or lowering the dosages.

she was size 24, 150 pounds ago. 450 pounds is like size 30-32. it shouldn't even be possible for sizes to go that high but I guess that's where we're at as a world now.
