>I wonder how OP's friends would feel if they went through their entire lives with no positive attention, no compliments, and no men trying to interact with them. Straight-sized women often cannot even comprehend the reality that many fat women experience. And I acknowledge that too much attention can also be an issue, but receiving none at all comes with a unique pain. You never feel good enough. You never feel seen. You feel worthless. I can tell myself all day that I am beautiful, but I am 35 years old and have never been in a relationship because no man has ever shown interest in me, flirted with me, complimented me, or wanted to know me. I have never received any kind of validation. Then, when I speak about the pain of this, I am accused of centering men and just being desperate for external validation. I reject that. We, as human beings, do want to be loved, affirmed, and seen. I believe these are basic needs. None of us should be shamed for struggling to adjust to a world that renders us invisible and tells us we are unlovable.
it is incredible just how close this is to your average moid incel screed, down to word choice. has she even considered that it's her personality? men aren't a monolith
